Firsthand Account-A description of an event told by the person that was there to experience it or saw it happened. (Also called - First Person Point of View - A character in the story is telling the story. The reader knows the characters thoughts. Clues: I, me, my, we, our, us, etc.)

Secondhand Account-A description of an event told by a person that was not there or is based on research. (Also called Third Person Point of View - A narrator is telling the story. Clues: He, she, they, the character's names)
